1.  Introduction

Elixor Apps (“Elixor,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Voice Translator AR application for Meta Quest headsets (“App”).

2.  Information We Collect

•  Audio Input  

   We capture the speech you record by pressing the microphone button. The audio is transmitted to our cloud processing pipeline solely to produce real‑time speech recognition, translation, and voice playback. No copy of the audio is stored on our servers; it is deleted automatically after processing is complete.

•  Translation Text  

   During a session the App holds both the original sentences and their translated captions in volatile memory so they can be shown on‑screen, copied, or pinned. These text strings are never uploaded to our servers and disappear when you close the App or clear the panel.

•  Diagnostic and Performance Data (optional)  

   If you choose to share analytics, the App may send crash logs and anonymous usage events (such as feature toggles or session length) to help us improve stability and user experience. These logs do not contain personal identifiers and are aggregated and retained for up to twelve months.

•  Device Information  

   The App reads basic headset details (model, software version, language/region) so it can optimise performance and select sensible defaults. This information is not linked to you personally and is retained only alongside anonymised diagnostics.

We do not collect account credentials, precise location, contact lists, payment details, advertising IDs, or biometric identifiers.

3.  How We Use Your Information

•  To deliver core functionality: speech recognition, translation, captions, and voice playback.  

•  To display and personalise in‑App content (e.g., theme preference).  

•  To monitor performance, fix bugs, and develop new features.  

•  To enforce our Terms of Service and comply with legal obligations.

We never sell your information or use it for targeted advertising.

4.  Sharing and Disclosure

We share data only:

•  With cloud service providers that supply the speech‑to‑text, translation, text‑to‑speech, or analytics services needed to operate the App.  

•  With platform providers such as Meta when required for app distribution, crash reporting, or compliance.  

•  When required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Elixor, our users, or others.

All service providers are contractually bound to process data solely for the requested service and to apply industry‑standard security safeguards.

5.  Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK)

•  Performance of a contract – processing necessary to provide the features you request.  

•  Legitimate interests – maintaining security, preventing fraud, and improving the App, balanced against your privacy rights.  

•  Consent – optional diagnostics, which you can disable at any time in Settings.

6.  Your Rights

We respect your privacy rights wherever you live. Every user of the App may, at any time and free of charge, exercise the following rights:

• Deletion (“Right to be Forgotten”) – Request permanent erasure of any personal data we hold about you. We will honour the request within 30 days (or any shorter period required by your local law).

• Access – Obtain a copy of the personal data we process about you.

• Correction – Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

• Restriction – Request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances.

• Objection – Object to our processing where we rely on legitimate interests.

• Portability – Receive your data in a structured, commonly-used, machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@elixorapps.com and include your headset serial number (Settings → About → Device Serial) so we can locate the relevant records.

7.  Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have inadvertently done so, we will delete that information promptly.

8.  Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data, including TLS encryption for all network traffic, server firewalls, access controls, and regular security audits. We adhere to the principle of data minimisation: no persistent storage of audio or captions on our servers.

9.  Data Retention and Deletion

•  Ephemeral audio and text are purged automatically after processing.  

•  Aggregated diagnostics are retained for up to twelve months.  

•  You may always request earlier deletion via the contact details below (§ 11); this option is available to all users worldwide, no matter where you reside.

10.  International Data Transfers

Our servers and service providers may be located outside your country. Where required, we rely on recognised legal mechanisms—such as Standard Contractual Clauses—to protect cross‑border transfers.

12.  Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” above and post the new version in the Meta Store and/or within the App. Continued use of the App after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.
